Ing. Sylvie Formánková, PhD (born Gurská) studied master‘s and doctoral program at Faculty of Business and Economics of Mendel University in Brno. Currently, at the Department of Management of the same faculty, she works as an assistant professor, she lectures and guarantees courses both in Czech and English. These courses include Corporate Social Responsibility, Management, Management skills and European Cultures and Civilizations. Her research focuses on the area of social responsibility and sustainability. At present, she is studying this issue mainly in the tertiary sphere of education. In connection with her area of interest, she is founding the first Center for Social Responsibility and Sustainability MENDELU in the Czech Republic. She also engages herself in the attitude of the generation of Millenials (Generation Y) and succeeding generation of so-called snowflake generation (Generation Z) toward social responsibility. She is involved in research both on a national and international level, where she cooperates with universities in Europe as well as outside Europe as a part of project and non-project activities.
