Lajos Somogyvári

Lajos Somogyvári, PhD is a senior lecturer of the Teacher Training Centre at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém, Hungary. Over the 6 years, his research interest has been focused on the polytechnic education in the socialist Era, 1950’s, 1960’s Hungary and the international context of educationalization, including ideologies, politics and so on. From 2006 to 2014, Lajos Somogyvári had been worked in a vocational and secondary high school, participated several projects, related to disadvantaged students, difficulties with entering to the higher education or labour market; currently he has been coordinating a university project, which aims to emerge the accessibility of higher education. He is a member of the European Educational Research Association Network 17. (Histories of Education), the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Subcommittee of the History of Education (in the function of secretary of international issues), and the Association of Teacher Trainers. As an editor of Iskolakultúra (School of Culture), assistant editor of Paedagogica Historica; and part of different national, international research working groups, he has been acquired a wide range of experiences about local, regional and global developments of schooling and researching.
