Leslie Blanchard

Dr. Leslie Blanchard, assistant dean for the LSU College of Agriculture, was born and raised on the bayous of south Louisiana in Lafourche Parish, and has been an LSU Tiger fan since childhood. She holds both bachelor's and master’s degrees in education, and her Ph.D. is in workforce development with a concentration in leadership. Prior to coming to LSU, Blanchard spent 13 years working as a teacher and administrator in the K-12 system, which gives her a unique advantage in understanding the freshman transition and helping our students navigate it. She is the mother of three daughters, Cassidy, Caroline and Abigail, as well as “Mama B” to the 1,300+ students in the College of Agriculture.
